The Garda National Drugs Unit, with assistance from local Gardaí in Balbriggan searched a business premises in the area and update.
The 47 year old man arrested in relation to the drugs seizure in North County Dublin on Tuesday the 6th of January 2009 (release 13/'09 refers, see below) appeared today in Balbriggan District court. He was remanded in custody to appear at 10.30am on the Wednesday the 14th of January at Swords District Court.

As a result of a planned search this morning the 6th of January 2009, the Garda National Drugs Unit, with assistance from local Gardaí in Balbriggan searched a business premises in the area. Arising out of this, approximately 2.5kg of what is believed to be cannabis resin (subject to analysis) was seized. This has a street value of 1.75m euros.
A 47 year old male was arrested at approximately 11am and is currently being detained in Balbriggan Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996.
