Gardai investigating the murder of John Carroll on the 18th February 2009 in a public house at the Coombe, Dublin 8 have arrested three people in connection with this investigation.
One man (55yrs) was arrested on Wednesday afternoon (25/2/09) in Dublin city centre under Section 30 Offences Against the State Act and detained at Kevin Street Garda Station, he was released on Wednesday without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
Two further arrests were made this morning (26/2/09) in Dublin city centre. Two men in their 20's have been arrested under Section 30 Offences against the State Act and are currently detained at Kilmainham and Kevin Street Garda Stations.
