A 42 year old man remains in custody at Galway Garda Station. He had his period of detention extended by a futher 24 hours at a special sitting of Galway District Court this evening the 20th of February 2009.

Gardai in Galway have arrested a third man in relation to an armed incident at a house in Turloughmore in Galway on Sunday night.
The 42 year old man was arrested on his release from University College Hospital Galway shortly after 3pm on the 18th February 2009.
He is being detained at Mill Street Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
