Gardaí at Portlaoise are investigating a two vehicle Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred on the Stradbally to Carlow Rd ( N80) on the 15.02.09 at approximately 9.45am.
Gardaí at Portlaoise are investigating a two vehicle Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred on the Stradbally to Carlow Rd ( N80) on the 15.02.09 at approximately 9.45am.
A car was in collision with a motor cycle resulting in the 38 year old motorcycle driver being fatally injured. He was taken to Portlaoise Hospital where he was pronounced dead yesterday afternoon. There were no other passangers in / on either vehicle.
The accident scene has been examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí at Portlaoise wish to appeal to any member of the public that may have been travelling on this stretch of road between 9.30am and 10am yesterday morning and that may have witnessed this incident to contact them at 057-8674100.
