Armed incident at Kilteel, Kildare on the 27/2/09

Further to the Garda investigation into the armed incident at Rathcoole, and the robbery of a substantial sum of money from the Bank of Ireland in College Green -

 

Further to the Garda investigation into the armed incident at Rathcoole, and the robbery of a substantial sum of money from the Bank of Ireland in College Green - At this early stage of the investigation Gardai are seeking help from the public to trace the movements of the following vehicles and persons in connection with this.

A red Toyota Celica registration number 99 D 88856 - This car was driven from Rathcoole via Inchicore to College Green, having left Rathcoole at around 6am this morning. This car was then driven from College Green to the DART station in Clontarf and was subsequently discovered burnt out near a Block of Apartments in Glasnevin Hill, Glasnevin.

Blue Peugeot Partner van - 08 D 30486 - This van was found near The Rath close to the Merriot Hotel north of Ashbourne - we are appealing to anyone who may have seen this vehicle in the past few days to contact investigators in Naas Garda Station.

Black Volkswagon Golf - 05 D 33720 - This car was driven from Rathcoole towards Dubin this morning at 5.30am approximately.

Silver Volkswagon Polo - 00 KE 2843 - Gardai are seeking to locate this vehicle.

The males involved are described as being very tall - one is of particularly strong build and may be a body builder. They spoke with Dublin accents.

This investigation is being coordinated from Garda Divisional Headquarters in Naas and Pearse Street Garda Station in Dublin.

Anyone who may have any information in relation to these vehicles or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in any of the locations mentioned above, is asked to contact the incident rooms in Naas on 045- 884300 or Pearse Street on 01 6669000.
