Fatal road traffic collision at Gort, Galway on the 6/12/09

Gardai in Gort are investigating a 2 vehicle road traffic collision which occurred at Corker, Gort, Co. Galway at approximately 2.30pm on the 6th December 2009.

Following the collision between a car and a 4x4 an 86 year old man who had been the sole occupant of the car was taken to University College Hospital, Galway.  He was pronounced dead on 11th December 2009.

No one else was injured in the collision.
