Incident at Killaloe, Clare on the 15 August 2009

The car in which the man was driving slipped into the river Shannon.

 

Gardai in Killaloe are investigating the circumstances of an incident in which a male in his mid 30’s died, at approx 05.30hrs, this morning, the 15th August 2009 in Killaloe, Co. Clare.

 

The car in which the man was driving slipped into the river Shannon. Efforts by witnesses and Gardai to save the male were unsuccessful. The Killaloe based Coast Guard and Fire Services also attended the scene.

 

The male was taken by ambulance from the scene to Limerick Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
