Fatal road traffic collision on the N24, Kilsheelan, Tipperary on the 3/8/09

A woman was killed when the car she was driving was in collision with an articulated truck.

 

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the N24 about 2 km from Kilsheelan in Co.Tipperary, at about 9.50 p.m. on the 3rd of August 2009.

 

A woman in her 20s was killed when the car she was driving was in collision with an articulated truck.  She was alone in the can and was pronounced dead at the scene, her body was taken to Waterford Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried our tomorrow the 4th of August. The driver of the truck was not injured.

 

The road at the scene of the crash is expected to remain closed overnight and diversions will be in place.The road will be closed between Kilsheelan village and the Merck Sharp and Dohme.
