A female was fatally injured when she lost control of the car she was driving and it collided with a ditch.
Gardaí at Kells are investigating a single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred in the early hours of this morning on the M51 at Curleyland, Athboy, Co. Meath.
A 23 year old female was fatally injured when she lost control of the car she was driving and it collided with a ditch.
She was the sole occupant of the car and her body was removed to Navan General Hospital.
The collision happened at approximately 3.15am.
Diversions are in place as the road is closed pending a forensic examination.
