Fatal road traffic collision on the Kiltealy to Ballymurphy Road, Carlow on the 9/8/09 - name

The motorcyclist killed in last Sunday's collision in Borris, Carlow has been named.

 

The 41 year old motorcyclist killed in last Sunday's collision in Borris, Co. Carlow has been named as David Salt.

David is originally from the UK but had been living in Wexford for some time.

Gardai in Borris, Co. Carlow are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at approx 18.00hrs on the 9th August 2009 on the Kiltealy (Wexford) to Ballymurphy (Carlow) road R703.

A male motorcyclist (41yrs) was traveling in the direction of Ballymurphy from Kiltealy when a collision occurred involving his motor cycle and a car. He was pronounced dead at the scene and 3 others involved in the collision were taken by ambulance to St Luke’s hospital in Kilkenny where their condition is described as not serious.

The road was closed for a Forensic collision examination and reopened at 12midnight on the 9th August 2009.
