A car was searched in an underground car park in the Santry area on the 13/4/09.
Following an operation carried out by the Drugs Unit attached to Pearse Street Garda Station a car was searched in an underground car park in the Santry area yesterday afternoon (13/4/09) and a large quantity of heroin (street value €900,000 approximately subject to analysis), was recovered.
Two Males aged 38 and 35 were arrested and are being detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act 1996 at Pearse Street Garda Station where they may be held for up to seven days.
In follow up searches a further ½ kilo of heroin and small quantity of cocaine was recovered.
As part of this investigation a number of vehicles have been seized.
