Hit and run at Terenure, Dublin on the 16/10/08 - and update

Gardaí at Terenure are appealing for information from the public in relation to a serious injury hit and run traffic collision that occurred on the 16th October 2008.

 

Gardaí investigating this morning's hit and run traffic collision on Templeogue Road have arrested a 32 year old man in relation to the incident. 

He is presently detained at Terenure Garda Station under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí at Terenure are appealing for information from the public in relation to a serious injury hit and run traffic collision that occurred at 1.45am this morning,Thursday 16th October 2008. 

The collision occurred when a male pedal cyclist travelling on the Templeogue Road was hit from behind by an unknown vehicle that failed to stop.  The pedal cyclist received serious injuries and was removed to St James's hospital.  It is believed that the offending vehicle would be missing it's passanger side door mirror.  Investigating Gardaí are anxious to speak to anybody who may have been in the Templeogue road area between 1.30am and 2am this morning.  They are also anxious to speak to the driver of a red Ford Focus motor car which was seen in the area at the time.
