Gardai from Kevin Street have been working with local youths to provide them with facilities to allow them legally display their graffiti art.

While the new Kevin Street Garda Station is under construction Gardai and the Office of Public Works have allowed the hoarding around the new station on Bride Street to be used by the youths to display their art.  Students from the College of Art and Design have given their time and assistance to help the twelve children who were selected from three Garda Special Projects.

The three projects are Youth Intervention Services (YIS) Meath Street, Dán Project Donore Avenue/St Teresa’s Gardens and Reach Project in Ballyfermot.  The outdoor work will be carried out on the following dated: 15th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, 28th, 29th and 30th October 2008.

Any media interested in taking photographs (a before and after shot) should do so before the 15th October 2008.
