Gardai at Clifden, Co. Galway are investigating a three vehicle Fatal Road Traffic Collision that occurred shortly after 5pm this evening, the 26.10.08, at Recess, Co. Galway on the N59. A 42 year old female driver who was travelling alone received serious injuries when the car she was driving was in collision with another vehicle. She died later at University College Hospital Galway. The occupants of the other cars were uninjured. Gardai have closed this section of road and diversions are in place. The scene is being examined by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
