Fatal Road Traffic Collision on the M4 southbound between the Celbridge and Maynooth, Co. Kildare on the 20/11/08 - and name.

Gardai at Celbridge, Co. Kildare are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the M4 southbound between the Celbridge and Maynooth exits.

 

Deceased is Frank Moore of Robertstown, Kildare, 73 years.

 

Gardai at Celbridge, Co. Kildare are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the M4 southbound between the Celbridge and Maynooth exits at approximately 8.55am today (20/11/2008), involving two trucks.

In relation to the fatal road collision which occurred this morning 20th November 2008 (previous release below refers) Gardai are now appealing for witnesses who may have been travelling on this route at the time of the collision to contact:

The male driver (40s) and only occupant of one of the trucks was fatally injured. He has been taken to the Connolly Memorial Hospital in Blanchardstown.

The driver and only occupant of the other truck was also injured, but his injures are not believed to be life threatening.

The M4 southbound is now closed, pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Traffic diversions are in place.
