Fatal Road Traffic Collision at Manorcummingham, Co. Donegal on the 4/8/08 - Witness appeal.

Witnesses sought - 2 car collision - 20 year old driver fatally injured

 

Gardai at Letterkenny wish to make a  witness appeal in relation to a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at 3.40 a.m. on the 4th  August 2008 at Magherabeg, Manorcunningham, Co. Donegal on the N13 Letterkenny to Derry road.


They are particularly keen to talk to any lorry drivers that were in the Manorcunningham area on the 4th of August between 3.30am and 4am and who may have witnessed a car driving erratically or have any information that may assist the Gardai with their investigation.

Gardai at Letterkenny Garda Station are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at 3.40 a.m. on the 4th of August 2008 at Magherabeg, Manorcunningham, Co. Donegal on the N13 Letterkenny to Derry road.


Two cars crashed at the above location and a twenty year old man, the driver of one car, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.  The body of the dead man has been removed to Letterkenny General Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.


The driver of a second car, a man in his twenties, was taken to Letterkenny General Hospital his injuries are not thought to be life threatening. The two men were the only occupants of the cars.
The road at the scene of the crash is closed while a forensic examination of the area is carried out by Garda crash scene investigators.
