Commissioner re-instating the commitment of An Garda Síochána to policing in the Limerick area.

Commissioner has expressed his sympathy to the Geoghegan family on the tragic and appalling murder of Shane

 

Following his meeting with the Taoiseach and the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform this morning, the Garda Commissioner has re-stated the commitment of An Garda Síochána to policing in the Limerick area.
He expressed his sympathy to the Geoghegan family on the tragic and appalling murder of Shane and said that all required investigative resources are available to the investigation.


The Commissioner will meet with Regional Assistant Commissioner Kevin Ludlow and the investigation team in Limerick this afternoon to discuss the progress of the investigation directly with them.


The Commissioner will be available to media for a brief doorstep after this meeting at Roxboro Road at a time to be confirmed.
