St. Patrick's Festival at the Rock of Cashel, Co. Tipperary on the 15/3/08.

Fireworks extravaganza at the Rock of Cashel, Co. Tipperary.

 

On Saturday the 15th March, 2008 as part of the St. Patrick's Festival a fireworks extravaganza will take place at the Rock of Cashel, Co. Tipperary.  

The event commences at 6.30p.m. and ends at 8.30p.m. approximately. 

A large crowd is expected to attend this event. 

Patrons are advised to arrive early to the event in order to secure parking and reach the event on time. 

There will be road closures and diversions in operation around the town of Cashel. 

 

Car parking is available near the site of the venue. 

The main Car Park on the Boherlahan Road can be accessed from the N8 northbound from Cashel.  The car park will be open from 2p.m. on Saturday, 15th March, the viewing site from the venue is adjacent to this car park. 

The other car parks are located in the following areas: 

Car Park No. 2:  Old N8 from entrance to Car Park 1 to Ballysheehan Roundabout. 

Car Park No. 3:  Link Road between Golden Road and Cahir Road. 

Car Park No. 4:  Cahir road Cashel from roundabout at the Alza factory to barriers at Centernary Co-Op Shop. 

Car Park No. 5:  Old N8 southbound in the direction of New Inn. 

 

All Parking areas except Car Park No.1 are within a fifteen to twenty minute walk of the viewing area. 

Shuttle buses will be provided to transport patrons to the viewing site. 

This is an all ticket event and patrons will not be admitted to the car park facilities without a ticket. 

Traffic diversions and road closures will commence at 5.30p.m. 

Access to the town of Cahsel by vehicles will be prohibited from 5.30p.m. 

Patrons are requested to obey direction from Gardai and Stewards. 

No vehciles will be permitted to leave car parks after the event until pedestrians have left the venue and the vicinity of car parks safety.
