Pipe bomb at Crumlin, Dublin on the 16/3/08.

Ppe bomb at the door of a house on Crumlin Park, Dublin 12.

 

Shortly before 9.30pm on the 16/3/08 an anonymous caller informed our Command and Control Centre that there was a pipe bomb at the door of a house on Crumlin Park, Dublin 12. 

On arrival at scene Gardaí evacuated all houses in the immediate vicinity and after examining the device they called the Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal (E.O.D.).  The E.O.D. also conducted an examination of the device and confirmed that it was a pipe bomb. 

They performed a procedure which made it safe and took possession of it for further examination. 

Investigations into this incident are continuing and no arrests have been made.
