Officers from the Waterford Garda Drugs Unit supported by other local Garda units undertook an operation.
In a joint operation coordinated by the Garda National Drugs Unit and Irish Customs, Officers from the Waterford Garda Drugs Unit supported by other local Garda units undertook an operation this morning in Waterford City.
During the course of this operation 42kgs of a substance believed to be cannabis herb, with an estimated street value (pending forensic analysis) of up to €420,000 was seized.
A 28 year old man, Irish national, was arrested in the course of the operation and he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act at Waterford Garda Station.
