Aggravated burglary in Dublin on the 14/3/08 and court appearance.

Gardai from Pearse Street Garda Station, Dublin are investigating an aggravated burglary.

 

With reference to above, the person arrested for the aggravated burglary at Mespil Road, Dublin 4 on Friday, the 14/3/08, and detained at Pearse Street Garda Station will appear in District Court Number 44 on Monday,  17/3/08 at 10.30am.

Gardai from Pearse Street Garda Station, Dublin are investigating an aggravated burglary in which an elderly man was threatened and robbed at knifepoint on the 14/3/08 at 5.20p.m. in his home on Mespil Road, Dublin 4. 

Gardai are appealing for taxi drivers who picked up a male fare in the Leeson Street Bridge / Mespil Road at around 5.30p.m. and dropped him off at the GPO on O'Connell Street to come forward.  (This man may have paid the fare in sterling.)

They also would like to speak to any person who was in the Mespil Road area between 5 p.m. - 5.30 p.m. and who noticed anything suspicious to contact Pearse Street Gardai on 01-666-9000.

Gardai subsequently arrested a 33 year old man in connection with this investigation and he is detained at Pearse Street Garda station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
