Shooting at Drimnagh, Dublin on the 24/6/08 - and updates.

Gardaí at Sundrive Road are investigating a shooting incident that occurred in Drimnagh.

 

The 34 year old male arrested on the 22/06/08 in Tallaght and detained at Blackrock Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, is to appear at the Special Criminal Court tonight (24/06/08) at 8.30pm.

Gardai at Sundrive Road have issued further details and renewed their appeal in relation to this afternoons shooting on Knocknarea Road, Drimnagh.  

A white van, no better described, was also believed to be involved in this incident.

The driver is described as being 24-25 years old with short brown hair. 

The two males that were in the silver BMW car are described as, male one, 5' 7'' tall, 17-20 years old, wearing a black 'floppy' hat. Male two is described as being 5' 5'', 17-20 years old with short brown hair and  wearing a bright multicolored wast length jacket.

The BMW car was later found near Walkinstown Rd.

Gardaí at Sundrive Road are investigating a shooting incident that occurred shortly before 1pm this afternoon in Drimnagh. 

A silver coloured BMW pulled up onto Knocknarea Road with two males on board and a number of shots were fired at the front of a house. 

A female occupant, possibly in her 50's, sustained injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.  She was taken to St. James's Hospital.
