Garda Operation in Co. Louth on the 12/6/08 - and update.

Gardai from the NBCI investigating serious crime in the North Louth area over a number of months, on the 12/6/08 carried out an operation in that area.

 

The four men who were arrested in Co. Louth on 12th June, 2008 have been charged and will all appear at a special sitting of Drogheda District Court at 10.30 a.m. this morning, the 14th June, 2008. 

The four men range in age from 23 years to 29 years.

Gardai from the NBCI investigating serious crime in the North Louth area over a number of months, yesterday evening (12/6/08) carried out an operation in that area. 

A Garda check point was set up near the town of Ardee, Co. Louth and a car carrying four men failed to stop for Gardai.

This car was eventually stopped some distance away and the four men were arrested and are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act at various Garda stations in Co Louth.
