Fatal road traffic collision on Limerick By-pass and name.

A collision occurred at approximately 1.40pm on the 11th of July 2008 and involved a bicycle and a lorry

 

Gardai at Henry Street in Limerick have named the victim of yesterday's road traffic collision as Tony O' Regan 49yrs (Cyclist) from Raheen, Co Limerick.

Gardaí at Henry Street Garda Station in Limerick are appealing for witnesses to a fatal traffic accident that took place today on the Limerick bypass at the townland of Ballysimon, on the northbound  carriageway. 

The collision occurred at approximately 1.40pm on the 11th of July 2008 and involved a bicycle and a lorry.

The cyclist  was pronounced dead at Limerick Regional Hospital.   

Local diversions are in place.  

Witnesses are asked to contact Henry Street Garda station at 061-212 400, or the Garda Confidential line at 1800-666 111.
