Gardai at Store Street are investigating the discovery of a suspect device in th doorway of a City Centre Hotel.
Gardai at Store Street are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a suspect device in th doorway of a City Centre Hotel on Eden Quay, Dublin 1.
Gardai responded to a call regarding this device at 11.15 p.m. on 19th January, 2008.
Gardai located the device at 11.19 p.m. and the area was immediately sealed off and a full evacuation was commenced. Gardaí notified the Army's Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team and they carried out a controlled explosion on the device.
Further tests are expected to be carried out on the device this morning.
No arrests were made and investigations are ongoing.
