Suspect device found at Bridewell, Dublin on the 10/1/08 - and update.

Gardai from Bridewell are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a suspect device on North Brunswick Street, Dublin.

 

Gardai have re-opened streets in the North Brunswick Street area following this morning's earlier incident.

The device found was a hoax. Investigations are continuing into the matter.

Gardai from Bridewell are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a suspect device on North Brunswick Street, near the entrance to the District Courts.

At 10 a.m. this morning a call was made to Bridewell Garda Station and  the Army's Explosive Ordinance Disposal Team are at scene.  Traffic Diversions are in place and we ask that motorists avoid the area if possible. 

There is no further information available at this time.
