Serious assault at Finglas, Dublin on the 13/1/08 and court update.

Gardai at Finglas are investigating an assault in which a 27 year old man sustained serious hand injuries in a pub in Meakestown, Finglas, Dublin.

 

A 33 year old man will appear at Dublin District Court 46 tomorrow morning, the 15/1/08 at 10.30 a.m. in connection with last night's assault in a licenced premises in Finglas, Dublin.

Gardai at Finglas  are investigating an assault in which a 27 year old man sustained serious hand injuries in a pub in Meakestown, Finglas, Dublin at approximately 9.15pm on Sunday, the 13/1/08.

The man was attacked when two men entered the premises, one of whom was armed with what appeared to be a sword, and the other armed with what is believed to be a hammer.

A 33 year old man has been arrested arising from the incident and is currently being detained at Finglas Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act.

The injured man was taken to the Mater Hospital and later transferred to St James Hospital, Dublin.
