Two members of staff, a male and female, are alleged to have been stabbed during the incident.
Gardai at Roxboro Road Garda station are investigating an incident at occurred on the 17th of January 2008 at 2.45p.m. at St Anne's Day Care Centre on Roxboro Road in Limerick.
The facility is run by the HSE. Two members of staff, a male and female, are alleged to have been stabbed during the incident. Their injuries are believed to be serious and they are being treated at the Mid Western Regional Hospital.
A man in his early 30's is in custody at Roxboro Road Garda Station detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act having been arrested at the scene.
