Graduation Ceremony at the Garda College, Templemore on the 31/1/08

The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr. Brian Lenihan, T.D., presented Certificates at a Graduation Ceremony at the Garda College, Templemore.



The Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, Mr. Brian Lenihan, T.D., presented Certificates to 239 Gardaí (79 Females and 160 Males) at a Graduation Ceremony at the Garda College, Templemore.



The COMMISSIONER’S MEDAL – awarded to the Student achieving the highest aggregate marks in academic subjects – was won by Garda Robert Zambra, a native of Rialto, Dublin, and who will be stationed at Clondalkin Garda Station.



Garda Patrick Ahern a native of Southhill, Limerick, was awarded the GARY SHEEHAN MEMORIAL MEDAL, commemorating a Recruit Garda who was killed on duty in Ballinamore, Co. Leitrim, in December, 1983.  This prize is awarded to the best all-round Student.  Garda Patrick Ahern will be attached to Thurles Garda Station.



THE TEMPLEMORE TOWN COUNCIL MEDAL, for outstanding achievement and appreciation in the area of Social Science Studies, was presented to Garda Keith White, a native of Drogheda, Co.Louth, and who will be stationed at Santry Garda Station.
