Fatal road traffic collision at Dunshaughlin, Meath on the 20/1/08 - witness appeal and name

Gardaí at Dunshaughlin are investigating the death of a pedestrian as the result of a collision which occurred on the N2.

 

Gardai at Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Powderlough, Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath, on the main N3, at 12.25am on the morning of Sunday the 20/01/2008.

Gardai are seeking the assistance of anyone who may have been travelling on the N3 near the County Club between midnight and 12.30am on Sunday 20/1/08 and may have witnessed anything.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Dunshaughlin Garda Station on 01 - 8258600.


A 19 year old male pedestrian was fatally injured. He was removed to James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead at 1.30am on 20/1/2008.

The deceased has been named as Mark Flood of Castleknock Park, Castleknock, Dublin.

Gardaí at Dunshaughlin are investigating the death of a pedestrian as the result of a collision which occurred on the N2 at approximately 12.30am, the morning of the 20/1/08.

The deceased, a male in his late teens, was removed to James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown after being struck by a car.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1.30am.  There are no other injuries arising from the incident.
