Missing person - Mervyn Stewart, Derry - last seen on the 28/1/08

The following appeal is sent on behalf of the Police Service of Northern Ireland.



The Police Service of Northern Ireland are appealing for information about a Derry man who has been missing since last week and may now be in the Dublin area.

Mervyn Stewart, who is aged 71, was last seen when he left his home to travel by bus to Derry city centre at about 1.30pm on Monday January 28. He is described as being 6ft tall, with brown hair, and is of a stocky build.

Anyone who has seen Mr Stewart or knows of his present whereabouts is asked to contact police at Waterside in Derry, telephone 048- 7136 7337.

If Mr Stewart hears of this appeal, he is asked to contact police or a family member to reassure them of his wellbeing.
