Fatal road traffic collision at Clontarf, Dublin on the 20/2/08 - and appeal for witnesses

Gardaí at Clontarf are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at the junction between Cherrymount Road and the Malahide Road in Clontarf, Dublin.

 

In connection with this fatal traffic collision (Previous release below refers), Gardai are now appealing for witnesses. Both the lorry and the cyclist were travelling Northbound at the time of the collision.

Gardaí at Clontarf are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred at 3.15pm. this afternoon, Wednesday 20th February, 2008.

A 74 year old male cyclist was fatally injured at the junction between Cherrymount Road and the Malahide Road in Clontarf, Dublin, when the bicycle he was cycling collided with a lorry.

The man was removed to Beaumont Hospital, Dublin, where he was pronounced dead at 3.45pm.

No one else was injured in the collision.

There is no further information available at this time.
