As part of an international joint operation between the Garda National Drugs Unit and Revenue's Customs Service supported by Gardai from Ashbourne and Santry, a 42 year old South African female was arrested in Ashbourne at 3.25pm today - 5th December 2008 in possession of what is believed to be Herbal Cannabis with a potential street value of €250,000 (pending analysis).
She is being detained at Kells Garda Station pursuant to Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
