Gardai in Banagher Co. Offaly are appealing for assistance from the public in locating the whereabouts of a speed boat believed to have been stolen in Banagher, Offaly.
Gardai in Banagher Co. Offaly are appealing for assistance from the public in locating the whereabouts of a speed boat believed to have been stolen in Banagher in the early hours of 18th August 2008.
The boat is a 'Supra Launch 22 SSV' speed boat and was taken from The Marina, Banagher, Co. Offaly. It is described as being blue and black in colour with a drawing of the World Globe on the side. The word 'Supra' is also printed in white on the side of the boat. The boat was mounted on a custom built trailer with four 18 inch alloys with stainless steel mudguards.
The boat is the only one of its kind in England or Ireland.
Gardai are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen a white Transit van in the Banagher area at around 4.30am. A photograph of the boat is available from the Garda Press Office.
