Gardaí at Carlow Town are seeking the public's assistance in relation to an assault that occurred on Dargan Lawns, Burrin Road, Carlow, shortly after 6am this morning.
A man in his 30's received a number of stab wounds and was taken to St. Lukes Hospital Kilkenny. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The culprit in this incident is a male who is believed to have fled the scene with his shirt badly torn.
