The Gardai at Swords, Co. Dublin are appealing for information in relation to a serious assault which took place at approx 2.40am on Sunday morning the 3rd August 2008 and renewed appeals.
Gardai at Swords have renewed their appeal for witnesses to the serious assault (see press releases below) which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning (3rd August 2008). The Gardai believe that there may have been a number of people in the Jacko Recreational Park at the time of the assault, and are appealing to them to contact the incident room in Swords with any information they may have, no matter how irrelevant they feel it may be.
The 17 year old girl injured in this assault received serious head and facial injuries.

Gardaí from Swords are renewing their appeal for possible witnesses to an assault that took place in the early hours of Sunday morning. Please see the original appeal (ref 937/08 - attached below) for details.
The Gardai at Swords will be renewing this appeal at the playground in what is known locally as the Jacko Recreational Park (between River Valley and Swords Manor) in Swords village today at 3pm.
Members of the media are invited to attend and should enter the park by the gateway on River Valley View and followed the steps down to the playground.

The Gardai at Swords, Co. Dublin are appealing for information in relation to a serious assault which took place at approx 2.40am on Sunday morning the 3rd August 2008.
A 17 year old girl was walking through The Jacko Recreational Park which is in the centre of Swords when she was attacked by a lone male.
This man is described as being 18/19 years of age with dark hair. He was wearing a black baseball cap and a black sweatshirt top with a full zip. During the course of the attack the girl was sexually assaulted.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious or may have information is asked to contact the Gardai at Swords 01-666 4700 or the Garda Confidential Number 1-800-666-111.
