Fatal road traffic collision at Newcastlewest, Limerick on the 6/8/08.

Gardaí at Newcastle West are investigating a 2 vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N21 at Ballintubbrid, Newcastle West, Limerick on the 6/8/08 and name.

 

Gardaí in Limerick have released the name of a man fatally injured in a road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 11.35pm on 6th of August 2008 at Ballintubbrid, Newscastle West, Co. Limerick. 

As a result of the two vehicle collision on the N21 (main Newcastle West to Abbeyfeale Road) the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

He has been named as 36 year old Kevin Doherty of Charlestown. Mr Doherty was the sole occupant of one of the two cars involved.

Gardaí at Newcastle West are investigating a 2 vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N21 at Ballintubbrid, Newcastle West, Limerick, late last night. 

The collision happened shortly after 11.30pm. The 36 year old male unaccompanied driver of car was killed when he was in collision with a SUV which had 2 occupants. 

Both occupants of the SUV were uninjured.  The deceased was removed to Limerick Regional Hospital. 

The road was closed at the time but has been re opened since 6am this morning.
