Gardai at Kildare Garda Station are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the 29/08/08, on the R417 at Stramillian, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare.
Gardai at Kildare Garda Station are investigating a two vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 10.45pm last night, the 29/08/08, on the R417 at Stramillian, Monasterevin, Co. Kildare.
The collision involved a jeep and a motorcycle and resulted in the 24 year old motorcyclist receiving fatal injuries, he was pronounced dead at The Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. The Driver of the jeep was uninjured.
The road was closed for examination by Garda Foresic Collision Investigators and reopened at 4am this morning.
The Gardai at Kildare wish to appeal for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have travelled on this stretch of road between Monasterevin and Kildangan between 10.30pm and 10.45pm, to contact them at 045 527730.
