Gardai are warning Motorists travelling from Croke Park to the M50 to postpone their journey until heavy rain and flooding subside. 

The following roads are currently impassable: -

Blackhorse Avenue, The N3 Navan Road outbound as far as the Blanchardstown Shopping Centre (particularly bad at the Church on the Navan Road), M50 between Finglas and Ballymun exits, Collins Avenue in Killester,   Navan Road roundabout between Blanchardstown and Clonee, Port Tunnell both ways, Botanic Ave, Kylemore Road,  N4 outbound at Palmerstown, Orchard Road, Chapelizod Bypass, Sarsfield Road, Shanard Road.

 Garda diversions are currently in place around many parts of Dublin city due to severe flooding  and long delays are to be expected.   

The football match between Shamrock Rovers and Sunderland due to be played in Tolka Park at 7.30pm has been cancelled due to flooding.
