As a result of an intelligence led operation, Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit, the Garda National Drug Unit, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and local units stopped four cars.
Three of the four males arrested on the 13th of August on Kennelsforth Road in connection with a seizure of heroin have been charged and will appear in Dublin District Court 44 this morning (15/08/08 ) at 10.30 am.

As a result of an intelligence led operation, Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit, the Garda National Drug Unit, Garda National Bureau of Criminal Investigation and local units stopped four cars on the Kennelsfort Road, Palmerstown shortly after 9pm last night, the 13th of August 2008. 6kg of what is believed to be heroin (subject to analysis) with a value of 1.2 Million Euro, was seized.
Four males in their 20's were arrested and are currently being detained at Clondalkin (2) and Ballyfermot Garda Stations (2) under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Traffic) Act 1996. They can be detained for up to 7 days.
