Burglary on Dawson Street, Dublin on the 12/8/08 - Appeal for witnesses.

Gardai at Pearse Street Garda Station are appealing for witnesses to a Burglary that took place at 11.30am on the 12th of August 2008 at Dawson Jewellers, Dawson Street, Dublin 2.

 

Gardai at Pearse Street Garda Station are appealing for witnesses to a Burglary that took place at 11.30am on the 12th of August 2008 at Dawson Jewellers, Dawson Street, Dublin 2. 

A male, posing as a bicycle courier, smashed the front window of Dawson Jewellers with a hammer. He then took a quantity of jewellery and ran to his bicycle. He cycled down Dawson Street, onto Schoolhouse Lane via Molesworth Street. 

The male is described as wearing a black sleeved top, ¾ length black pants, white runners, tan coloured baseball cap, black gloves and a black smog/dust type face mask that covered his mouth. He was of athletic build and with fair hair. 

Gardai are particularly interested to speak to a male motorcyclist, believed to be a courier, who may have witnessed the incident.  Any member of the public who was in the Dawson St – Molesworth St – Schoolhouse Lane area, on Tuesday the 12th of August between 11am and 11.45am, and who may have witnessed the incident or the male concerned, is asked to contact the Gardai at Pearse Street Garda Station on 01- 6669000 or the Garda Confidential Phone line on 1800 666 111.
