Hoax device at Kildare Road, Dublin on the 24/4/08

A call was received at our call centre stating that there was a bomb at a house on Kildare Road, Dublin 12.

 

At approximately 9.15pm on the 24/4/08 a call was received at our call centre stating that there was a bomb at a house on Kildare Road, Dublin 12. 

Gardaí went immediately to scene and identified a cylinder type device beside a car outside the house in question. 

The area was sealed off and houses were evacuated. 

An Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal team was requested and on arrival they examined the device and declared it a hoax. 

The area was reopened and residents were allowed to return to their homes.
