Criminal Assets Bureau Operation in Dublin on the 24/11/16

As part of ongoing investigations targeting a west Dublin based Organised Criminal Group by the Criminal Assets Bureau a search operation was carried out at locations across Dublin on the 24th November 2016.

The searches were conducted at a number of residential and business premises including a solicitor’s office, an accountant’s office and a motor garage. They were carried out by officers of the Criminal Assets Bureau assisted by local Garda detective units.

During the searches Gardaí seized cash in excess of €60,000, along with documentation and mobile phones.  The Criminal Assets Bureau also seized a luxury motor car (valued between €30K - €40K). The car was seized  under the recently amended Proceeds of Crime legislation.

No arrests were made during this phase of the investigation.
