Operation Thor - Arrests in Dundalk, Louth on the 25/1/16

As part of Operation Thor, Gardaí arrested four males, aged in their late teens to mid 30's, at Balregan, Dundalk, County Louth yesterday afternoon, Monday 25th January 2016 shortly after 3pm.

The men were arrested by Gardaí from the Regional Support Unit, Northern Region and were detained at Dundalk Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

A caravan, which is believed to have been stolen in Newry, County Armagh, was recovered during the operation which was carried out with the assistance of and in cooperation with the Police Service of Northern Ireland. A jeep was also seized.

Three of the men were charged in connection with this investigation. One man, 21 years, is due to appear before Dundalk District Court this morning, Tuesday 26th January 2016 at 10.30am. Two of the men were released on bail and are due to appear before Dundalk District Court on a later date. The male in his late teens was released without charge.
