At approximately 3am on the 26th August 2016, Gardaí from DMR Traffic Division were patrolling New Cabra Road, Dublin 7 when they observed a car driving out of the driveway.
Gardaí followed and stopped the car to speak with the driver and passenger. Gardaí were advised that a burglary had occurred on New Cabra Road and a car was stolen during the course of the burglary.
Both men (early 20s) were arrested at the scene and were taken to Store Street Garda station where they was detained under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. Both men were charged this afternoon in relation to the incident and appeared before District Court Number 2, Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin. The two men were remanded in custody to appear on 31st August, 2016 to Cloverhill District Court.
