Body discovered in Fermoy, Cork on the 25/9/15

Gardaí in Fermoy are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man's body in Fermoy this afternoon, Friday, 25th September 2015.

The discovery was made shortly after 3p.m. when Gardaí were called to an apartment on Emmet Street, Fermoy. The man (early 50's) was pronounced dead at the scene which is currently preserved for a technical and forensic examination. The Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.

The matter is under investigation and further updates will follow.
