Fatal shooting incident in Tallaght, Dublin on the 27/5/15

Gardai in Tallaght are investigating a fatal shooting incident which occurred at Kiltalown Road, in Tallaght on the 27th May 2015.

At approximately 10.35pm Gardai in Tallaght received a call that a male (35 years) had been seriously injured in a shooting incident at Kiltalown Road, Tallaght when Gardai arrived at the scene they observed a male seriously injured. He was treated at scene by Dublin Fire Brigade and was transferred to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A number of Gardai responded to the initial incident and arrested two males (28 and 18 years) in connection with the incident close by. They are being detained at Tallaght Garda station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act as amended. The scenes of the shooting and a car found burning close to the scene are being preserved for a Technical examination.

 
A post mortem is expected to be held later today the 28th May 2015.
