Stabbing incident Carrickmines 27/03/15

Gardai in Blackrock investigating a stabbing incident at Carrickmines Retail Park, Sandyford yesterday afternoon (27/03/15) have arrested a male.

At approximately 4.25pm an altercation took place between two males outside a food retail premises. During the incident a 44 year old male received stab injuries and was taken by ambulance to St. Vincents Hospital where he underwent surgery. He is currently described as being  in a stable condition. The second male fled the scene.
In a follow up operation in the early hours of this morning a 35 year old male was arrested in the Kingscourt area of Co. Cavan. He was brought to Blackrock Garda Station where he is currently detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
