Drug seizure and arrests Santry Dublin 28/03/15

As part of an intelligence led operation by the Garda National Drug Unit / Organised Crime Unit targeting the activities of a North Dublin Crime Gang, Gardaí have seized cannabis herb and arrested 4 males.

Gardai conducted a planned search of a residence in Larchill, Santry shortly after midnight. During the search cannabis herb (pending analysis) with an estimated street value of up to €150,000 was seized.
Four males in their 20’s and 30’s were arrested at the scene and are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of The Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Swords and Ballymun Garda Stations.
These operations use advanced analytical and intelligence methods to disrupt criminals and dismantle their networks. Drug seizures play a critical role in targeting the livelihood of criminals and reducing their ability to carry out illegal activities. Drug seizures also help protect communities from the devastating impact of drugs and the associated criminality.
