Fatal road traffic collision at Ballybrowne, Clarina, Limerick on the 24/2/15

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Ballybrowne, Clarina, Limerick this morning Tuesday 24th February 2015 at approximately 9am.

A man, 73 years, was fatally injured when the car he was driving collided with another vehicle. He was pronounced dead at scene and his body was taken to Limerick University Hospital where a post mortem was carried out.

The occupants of the second car, a man, aged in his 40's and a 5 year old boy were also injured in the collision. They were taken to Limerick University Hospital with non life threatening injuries.

The road is currently closed to facilitate Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Diversions are in place.
